Cherwell House reflects the same core values shared across all Cannon Children Services homes. The home is tastefully decorated with thoughtful, homely touches to create a warm, nurturing and stable environment. We believe that the physical environment plays a vital role in helping young people feel safe, respected and valued. The home is staffed by a professional, highly trained and experienced team who are committed to delivering high-quality care in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
The property benefits from a well-maintained rear garden, providing space for relaxation, outdoor activities and positive social interaction between staff and young people. In addition, there is a dedicated quiet room available for young people who may need privacy, reflection time, or emotional regulation support. This space supports our commitment to promoting emotional well-being and responding sensitively to individual needs.
Cherwell House is well connected by public transport and is within easy reach of recreational, cultural and educational opportunities. We actively support young people to engage safely with their local community, helping them to build confidence, independence skills and positive peer relationships in accordance with the Care Planning and Protection of Children Standards.
