Therapy is the start of the healing process

At Cannon Children Services, we recognise that behaviours are often a communication of unmet need, trauma, loss, or disrupted attachment. In line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards, particularly the Health and Well-being Standard and the Positive Relationships Standard, we work in partnership with award-winning, qualified therapists to ensure children receive timely and appropriate therapeutic support that addresses the underlying causes of distress.

Our approach is trauma-informed and child-centred. Therapeutic interventions are carefully planned as part of each child’s Placement Plan and informed by their Education, Health and Care Plans (where applicable), ensuring that support is purposeful, measurable, and focused on improving emotional well-being and long-term outcomes.
